Emerging Economies Roundtable

At the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026, India Global Forum in partnership with WGS, curated the Emerging Economies Roundtable, bringing together senior global leaders to exchange perspectives on the evolving role of emerging economies in a rapidly changing world.

Chaired by Manoj Ladwa, Chairman of India Global Forum, the roundtable featured H.E. Duma Gideon Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana, alongside ministers, multilateral leaders, investors, and business leaders from across regions.

Three key takeaways emerged from the discussion:

  • The need to unlock long-term capital – Emerging economies need patient, affordable investment to fund infrastructure, healthcare, climate action, and technology at scale.
  • Build strong digital foundations – Digital public infrastructure is essential; not optional.
  • Regional Collaboration - There was strong consensus that cross-regional collaboration can help emerging economies better navigate global uncertainty and unlock shared growth.

By creating a trusted space for focused and insightful conversations at the intersection of policy, capital and innovation, India Global Forum and World Governments Summit continue to work together to shape meaningful conversations and outcomes that shape global economic thinking.
